Eliminating credit card debt

Photo Credit:  David Robert Wright

{My appologies — this post was supposed to go up yesterday, but there was some confusion with WordPress and it never made it up!}

We are celebrating a wonderful success in our home tonight!  After almost two years of hanging over our heads, we managed to pay off my Visa credit card!  We whittled away at it and have finally succeeded at clearing it out and closing the account.

We started out with four (gulp!) cards, a student loan, a student line of credit and have since added on a car payment.  We are making a commitment to get out of debt before Naomi is old enough for school.  This is a very motivating step in the right direction!

So tonight we cheer and celebrate.  Tomorrow, we snowball our attack on another card and look cheerfully towards a day of debt freedom!
